There’s a fabulous new Kind Hearts Movement website coming soon which will feature all the awesomeness that is Kind Hearts!

In the meantime, Follow our facebook page: ‘Kind Hearts Movement’, which will keep you up to date on all our exciting news, along with good news stories and inspiration.

The Kind Hearts Movement was launched in Palmerston North, New Zealand, in June 2014.   In January 2016, our Movement reached a significant milestone when it became registered as a Charity, Kind Hearts Trust, and the most amazing people are joining our Board of Trustees to help build an enduring legacy, spreading and inspiring unconditional kindness in our beautiful world.

Our Vision is a kinder world.

Our Core Value is unconditional kindness (without judgement or expectation).

Our Purpose is to empower individuals and groups to strengthen communities through unconditional kindness.

We do this is by:

Inspiring, motivating, challenging and facilitating all forms of unconditional kindness, which includes being kind to yourself.

Providing free kindness cards to inspire and use for acts of unconditional kindness worldwide.

Our biodegradable and compostable Kind Hearts coffee cups for pay it forward coffees in cafes throughout New Zealand.

Empowering businesses to have a strong kindness culture.

Empowering kindergartens and schools to have strong kindness culture.

Walking the talk on our belief that communities are strengthened by kindness.  We have two community initiatives in Palmerston North – Kind Hearts for Parents and Kind Hearts for Kids.

We launched this initiative in October 2014 to provide practical support for parents of sick babies and children in the Children’s Ward and Neonatal Unit in Palmerston North Hospital.  We provide home baking (donated by Kind Hearts bakers in our community), food items, toiletries, magazines, books and treats and we deliver every day of the year.

We launched this initiative in Term Four, 2014, to support local schools and kindergartens who are feeding their kids in need from their own school funds.  We source the food items they need and deliver as required.

We launched this in Palmerston North in February 2015 with the intention of spreading throughout New Zealand.  We provide resources and support to help them build a strong kindness culture, helping our young people develop resilience, an enduring value of being unconditionally kind, and the potential to contribute to building stronger communities.

In June 2016, in collaboration with MidCentral District Health Board and SuperGrans Manawatu, we brought the Auckland based Peggy Purl project to our region.  Co-ordinated by Kind Hearts, we source peggy squares (knitted and crocheted) to make blankets for babies and children in Palmerston North Hospital and in our communities, providing much needed warmth and comfort.
